* You should now right click someone in the area and click ‘New’ => Integer for the name ‘nglayout.initialpaint.delay’ and then set value to ’0?.
* Close browser.

Re-open browser to see if this did indeed make Firefox faster. There are various other hacks and tricks you can do, however, this one is the most common, and it works without the need to change any of your specific computer environment settings.
